Norma Grayland is Kiri Haimura's ancestor, and faced off against 1 of the 3 Made-to-Order's in season 1 (currently the only season)  of The Cutting and Severing Crime Edge.

Bio[]

He was the most brutal killer of The 1860's. He used just a pair of scissors as a weapon. After slaying so many innocent victims, the scissors became cursed. Norma Grayland took his live victims into his operating room where he used his scissors to dismember them. Mainly, with women he removed the breastplate before cutting the skin around the face. Male victims usually had a more gruesom end: they would be tied down and have each arm and leg removed before ultimately slitting the throat and causing his victim to choke on their own blood.  The victims of these gruesome acts of murder ranged from children to the elderly and numbered over 200; earning Grayland's reputation as the worst serial killer ever. His murders resulted in the end of his home village. Everyone who was cataloged in the incident mysteriously were missing, along with all the people who had testified against him. Because of this, all of the documentation of Mr. Grayland and his murders had been nearly eradicated. Norma Grayland, the most gruesome killer ever born has not truly met his end. His heart and soul live on in a pair of scissors (Crime Edge, the "weapon" of the protagonist)

The Actual Truth[]

Grayland was a doctor who acquired the Severing Crime Edge from a blacksmith. However, the blacksmith came down with an unknown illness, which Grayland thought was a parasite. With no medical tools, Grayland had to use the Crime Edge to open him up, only to find that there was no parasite. As more people came down with the illness, Grayland ordered families to give their corpses for dissection, which made people suspicious since he had no medical tools and his timing was too convenient. Eventually, some townsfolk investigated his shack and found out he was cutting up the bodies. Disgusted by what they saw, the townsfolk eventually started chasing Grayland, who at that point was known as a murderer. Grayland continued doing autopsies, eventually getting to the point where he was in a state of despair and wishing that he was a murderer.

Although the diary stopped there, a remedy was made after a while. Since Grayland only killed the blacksmith and the requirements for a tool to become a Killing Goods is to have killed 2 people, the Crime Edge turned out to not be one. Instead, it has a power known as Tool Mimicry, where a unique item that is a "killing tool" can be created from something that isn't one originally. This means that instead of an Author's urge to kill, Kiri's urge manifested into the desire to cut someone's hair, which meant that he was simply an ordinary pervert with a hair fetish.

Appearance:[]

A strong man with a big beard and wearing worn-out clothes. He had long, gray hair that was around shoulder length.

Personality:[]

Grayland was dedicated to his craft and had a strong determination. Despite that, he became very disturbed as he performed more autopsies due to being called a murderer for doing so.
